We don't pray before we work... prayer is the work! Then God works!
This past week has been filled with excitement because of how you have partnered with us to minister to the neighborhood surrounding Mack Middle School! On Saturday morning 150 people gathered in the cafeteria of Mack Middle School. It was really encouraging to see the faces of those who support our efforts to bring change to Las Vegas! Text messages, emails, and phone calls came in from our prayer partners across the country, lifting Mack Middle School up in prayer. As we walked through the streets we asked God to come to the rescue of the families and to use Ignite Life to help meet needs in the community.
Many of you came to volunteer at our Free Market as well. Over 200 families were lined up to receive groceries and clothing. The first people in line had been there since 6am and we didn't open until 9am. While waitinging in line, families were invited to attend a BBQ hosted by our ministry partner for the event, Hope for Prisoners.
Families gathered in the park for hot dogs, watermelon, and some sweet treats. Thanks to your prayers, God was glorified. We look forward to what this school year at Mack Middle School will hold. We ask that you continue to pray often for our students and our team this school year!
This Thursday we will launch our first Make A Difference (MAD) Movement at Mack. Pray for the word to get out to students to attend, for God to raise up more mentors to serve, and for new students to be impacted!
